New Cintiq 24HD Touch from Wacom
Wacom has just upgraded their largest interactive graphics pen display tablet now allowing multi touch functionality for rotation of your creative artwork, 3D modeling, zooming and panning. The Cintiq HD24 Touch might be aimed primarily at artists, who desire more interaction with their craft, but it also functions as an awesome device for editing photos.
A sensitive multi-touch control layer which has been added to the display, upgraded from its predecessor - the Cintiq HD24, enables you to not only work with the tilt and pressure sensitive pen, but to also use the tips of your fingers to zoom, pan and turn your work as you see fit. You can traverse an object around the screen with one hand while drawing, or molding, with the other.
The Cintiq HD24 Touch hosts a interactive display resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels (diagonal 24-inch / 60.96 cm) but also improves brightness (300 cd/m2) and contrast ratio (850:1) via a horizontal silicone matrix RGB LCD panel. This in-plane, amorphous switching panel also enables the Cintiq HD24 Touch to reproduce ninety-seven percent of the Adobe RGB color spectrum a platform which is most popular with photographers. The backlit panel can also display up to 1.07 billion colors (30-bit color depth) and enables you to better see, after correcting color and finishing processing, what your end result will look like when printed out.
Support is available in the newest Corel Painter 12.2 and Wacoms Cintiq includes an adjustable counter-balanced stand which even allows you to balance the display surface over the edge of your desk, positioning it just above your lap.
This is a winner for professional designers, and sketch artists, combining the multi touch function with the precision pen, offering fantastic color choices, major viewing angles, and a top-end widescreen HD display.
