The Fiela Fund
As much as we love finding new toys that you just Have2Have, we also value supporting worthy local causes. For this reason, we have decided to focus all our energy on supporting the fantastic Fiela Cheetah fund 100%.

What we thought would be a quick search for a deserving charity turned into an extensive year-long search for an organisation that we believed was deserving. We also had to make sure that we identify an organisation where we could make a real difference.  Have2Have set out to look for a charity organisation that had practically no funding and a cause that we believed our customers could identify with. We wanted passionate people who were involved in the work they did and also complied with good governance. After months of looking and feeling rather despondent in our failure to find that right charity, our luck changed one cold winter’s day in July 2009.

On this day we were fortunate enough to fly down to Bloemfontein and meet with Riana, the special volunteers, and the animals at the Fiela Fund. Almost immediately we knew we had found what we were looking for - people who are dedicating their lives to a cause in which they believe in.

Cheetah numbers in the wild are falling dramatically and studies indicate that in the near future these magnificent animals would be confined to captivity. Riana and her team in Bloemfontein take in animals and raise them with the intention of breeding so that the healthy litters can be introduced into the wild. Although focused on Cheetah, they help raise all wild cats; Lions, Leopard, Tiger, and Jaguar. The animals at the centre are mainly brought here as they have been abandoned and wouldn’t have survived in the wild on their own.
Feeding these animals, and keeping them healthy resulst in huge vet and grocery bills. To date without formal funding they have managed to fund their work thanks to Riana’s personal sacrifice and the generosity of visitors.

To help we have decided to get involved personally, we didn’t want this simply to be a cheque in the mail type contribution. Although we understand money is required, we also help with sponsoring of food for the animals, equipment and naturally money too. We visit regularly and try to ensure that needs are met and that the contribution made on behalf of Have2Have and our clientele is well utilised.

We allocate a percentage from each order to the centre, so by supporting Have2Have you help Fiela and all her feline friends. However we believe the greatest contribution that Have2Have can make is to raise the plight of this fantastic organisation with our wonderful clientele across South Africa. If you are able to assist in anyway even if it is by a quick visit next time you are in Bloemfontein, by sponsoring a meal for one animal, or by donating just a few rand, we at Have2Have, Riana and her team and most importantly the animals will be most grateful for your generosity.
