The result is truly immersive gameplay — whether you’re playing alone or with others in multiplayer mode. And with an App Store that offers thousands of games ready to download and play, the fun of iPod touch never ends.

The new 32GB and 64GB iPod touch models feature improved performance and support for OpenGL ES Version 2.0, which lets developers create games with superior graphics. So games launch noticeably faster, and you experience richer, more lifelike textures and detail.

A great pocket computer.

A great iPod.

Pioneering technology and a brilliant 3.5-inch screen bring an amazing experience to your music, movies, and more.

Genius Mixes.
This new feature acts as your personal DJ, searching your iTunes library to find songs that go great together, then organizing them into mixes you’ll love. All automatically.

Wireless and Bluetooth
You already know how much fun it is to play games on iPod touch when it’s just you. Multiply the fun by playing with your friends over Wi-Fi — whether they’re two cubicles or two continents away. You can also use Bluetooth for close-range head-to-head gaming.
Learn more about iPod touch technology

The accelerometer inside iPod touch detects when you rotate iPod touch from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes what you see onscreen. But the beauty of the accelerometer comes into play when you’re actually in play. For instance, in racing games where your entire iPod becomes the steering wheel. Or balance games, such as Topple.

What sets iPod touch apart from traditional handheld gaming devices is its revolutionary Multi-Touch interface. It means you’re not just playing a game, you’re interacting with the game. Turn your fingers into an expert skateboarder. Test your reflexes as you’re challenged to tap through the beats of a song. You can even transform iPod touch into a musical instrument such as a drum set or a guitar. It’s all thanks to the brilliance of Multi-Touch technology.

Purchased the IPOD for my son and he is very pleased with it. The only thing that would make it better would be a camera and video feature.

Price is still the biggest barrier to owning an iPod Touch, but the 64Gb is a nice little unit. I upgraded from an older iPod Video (aka Classic) with 80Gb, but was tired of the weight and tiny screen. I'm as yet unsure of battery longevity, but I use it several times each week (3-5 hours total) and charge it once each week, without any problems. Several hours straight video usage while on an airplane did drain the battery faster, but that's to be expected. The display is quite nice, and the wide-screen movies I loaded onto it look and sound fine. (using Skull Candy ear-buds) Connecting to my home wireless network was intermittent at first, but seems to be OK now. I tend to download apps from iTunes and other sites on my computer (and movies and CDs that I rip from disc), then into my iPod, so wireless connectivity isn't something I will use all the time. I expect that will change when I travel, and after I find more free wifi spots. The screen is a bit small for reading ebooks or online newspapers for any length of time, but I'm glad I have the capability and expect I will use this more in the future.

I added a thin-film screen protector and have both a leather flip-cover and a silicone gel case. Both work well, it just depends on your needs. I also picked up a small plastic stand to use while viewing it on a desk or airplane flip-down tray. (the stand doesn't work with the leather case though)

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It looks and sounds great, and it's quite portable. I tend to take good care of my electronics, so I expect it will last me quite a few years if the battery holds up.

It was delivered as stated in time for Christmas. It is a great value, remains to be seen if the memory will last enough for all the apps for a while. It is fine now.

For all you people who gave a one star it shouldn't be on the product but on yourself. I mean really I give this product 5 star. Its not apples fault that your 85 and have never used an ipod. The only thing you have used mostly is a VHS player. The ipod touch is hands down the best mp3 player money can buy. Apple Rules

Everything else is fine except the battery life, just around 4 hours when I was wifi and playing game. and it died suddenly when it still had 15% power left when I was just playing audio, and good for a lot of things according to the screen info. At20%, you can't continue with a racing game while wifi is off.
Too bad APPLE's idisk only allows ' view and share', you can't edit the file from idisk with ipod touch..

Excellent device, easy to use and portable. Would be better if Apple would allow the use of Adobe Flash. Sound not great on built in speaker, but didn't expect it to be. Sounds great with ear-buds. One of the greatest inventions in the past ten years, would consider an iPhone for my next purchase.
