Jian Magical Sword

The very thick cross guard has a antique copper finish with a Phoenix in the center. Cylindrical dark wood grip depicting a bamboo stalk is 6? " long. At the end of the handle is a pommel with Phoenix resting on a silver lotus. Laminations on the folded steel blade are excellent. The blade is 30" long and is ? " thick near the guard and tapers to ? " near the point. Dark brown wood scabbard has a fitting at the opening of a dragon in silver finish. The middle band has the same design of a dragon in silver color. At the bottom of the scabbard is a cap showing a silver snake spirally around a turtle. The fittings on this special Jian are excellent. The blade is first class in finish and the way the laminations were executed.
