New Touch Experience - EasyReach
Amazon invented a new type of touch experience that eliminates the fatigue caused by continuously swiping to turn the page, and that allows readers to hold Kindle with either hand while still turning pages comfortably. With EasyReach, Kindle Touch 3G users can effortlessly page forward in a book or a periodical while holding the device with either hand. Tapping on most of the screen area will page forward, the most common action done when reading; tapping in a narrow area near the left edge of the device turns to the previous page; and tapping on the top part of the screen brings up the toolbars for further options. This is another way that Kindle helps readers get lost in the author's world.
Founded in 1994 the company initially envisaged selling only books online, but quickly developed into a seller of all things including gadgets, electronics, computers, home goods, watches, toys, luxury items, gifts and even food. Essentially if it's for sale, it's for sale on Amazon Dot Com.
The name was chosen as the founder wanted a name starting with the letter A and it must have a Z. The logo, which looks like a smile below the word Amazon, also points A to Z, to show that they literally sell everything. What separates Amazon is that they not only sell goods, but have become manufacturers of products too. Their Kindle is the current leader in the online ereader field. They also do memory cards, hdmi cables and a variety of other essential items as part of the Amazon basics range.

-- The "touch" is a bit sensitive - sometimes I do not want to turn a page but if your finger lightly touch the screen the Kindle turns the page.

The ease to download new books from AMAZON is amazing. Within two minutes after you select the book it is available on the Kindle.
I can truly recommend this product.

-- slim, lightweight, cover for the kindle is fabulous the light is powered by the kindle directly, whole kindle with cover is extremely compact.
Con's:
-- Does not come with basic instructions, if you are not computor savvy then it would take a while to learn by trial and error. Was a little disappointed that we had to buy an extra charger for use not via computor, but no train smash. But buying the charger makes you more mobile anyways, so its cool.

-- If this is a stand alone device, the easy answer is simply to open a US account. However, Amazon allows the linking of up to 5 Kindles into a "family" account and the ability to share books across those 5 kindles. As my family already has an extensive library on Amazon.co.uk, in practice this limitation comes down to choosing between not being able to use the kindle store on the device, and not being able to read my family's books. I am fairly confident it's just a matter of time before the 3G touch is supported in the UK, but at present, it is a bit of a hindrance.

-- The only other issue I have experienced is that the lack of landscape mode can make reading some PDF's problematic. This feature was available in earlier versions of the kindle, so I'm not at all sure why it was dropped.
